Job Description
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator/IT Systems Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the IT system infrastructure and related processes. Your role will involve providing support for day-to-day operations, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration of various IT components, including client/server devices, storage systems, network devices, and mobile devices. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problems. Additionally, you will communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers, assist with the dispatch system and hardware problems, and actively participate in the resolution process. Your expertise in configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing software, troubleshooting, maintaining system integrity, and configuring network components will be essential for improving reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 (Help Desk) problems to ensure efficient IT system operation.
- Manage the daily activities of IT system configuration and operation.
- Assist users in accessing and effectively utilizing IT systems.
- Perform Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution to address complex issues.
- Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server devices, storage systems, network devices, mobile devices, and other components.
- Escalate critical issues and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization through continuous monitoring and analysis.
- Conduct system capacity analysis and develop plans for future resource requirements.
- Utilize extensive experience in troubleshooting IT systems to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and actively participate in resolving hardware problems.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including software installation and troubleshooting.
- Maintain system integrity and configure network components to enhance reliability and performance.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.

Requirements:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a System Admin/IT Systems Support Specialist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional IT Systems Support experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
